Frequently asked questions
Can't find your answer? Ask our AI assistant or give us a call.
What ages do you care for?
Children from 6 weeks to 12 years, across six programs: Infants, Ones/Toddlers, Twos, Threes, Fours & Fives, and School Age. Try our program finder.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We close on certain holidays (see below).
Are you closed on holidays?
Yes, we close on several holidays. See our holiday schedule.
How do I enroll or join the waitlist?
We're enrolling in all programs and seats are limited. Start on our secure MyProcare page (just enter your email), or see how enrollment works.
Can I tour before enrolling?
Absolutely, and we encourage it! Book a tour online or call us at (803) 272-0879.
How much is tuition?
Tuition depends on your child's program and schedule. Please call (803) 272-0879 or send an inquiry and we'll share current rates.
How are teachers screened and trained?
Every teacher completes FBI and SLED background checks and a Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect check. We do not offer provisional employment. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified and complete early-childhood development training every year.
Can I visit my child during the day?
Yes. We have an open-door policy for parents.
What should I know about the infant room?
Our infant room is "soleless": parents wear shoe covers or come in their socks. Toys and surfaces are cleaned throughout the day, and handwashing is required. Infants start at 6 weeks.
Do you help with toilet training?
Yes. Our Twos program supports growing independence, including self-dressing and toilet training.
Will my child be ready for kindergarten?
Our Fours & Fives curriculum covers writing, math, science, social studies, geography, Spanish, critical thinking and social skills, so children head to kindergarten ready academically and socially.
Do you pick up from local schools?
Yes, our School Age program picks children up from neighboring schools. Please call (803) 272-0879 to confirm your child's school.
What happens on school holidays and in summer?
We plan activities for holidays and early-dismissal days. In summer, school-agers enjoy field trips such as water parks in Hartsville and Fort Jackson, movies, pizza outings and bowling, with learning built in.
Do children play outside?
Every day, weather permitting, on safe, age-appropriate equipment. Please dress your child for the weather.
Where can I find parent forms?
Download the CKA Parent Forms packet (PDF), and check our first-day checklist.
Are you hiring?
Yes! We're hiring teachers (full-time and floaters), kitchen staff, janitorial staff and CDL bus drivers. See openings and apply.
